Pike County Parks & Nature Preserves

The following list of parks and preserves includes those managed by federal, state, county, and non-governmental agencies (such as the National Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, various historical societies, etc.).

We have tried to collect information on the activities and facilities available at various parks, but things may change without us knowing about it. So please double-check the information at the official site (click on the park’s name to go there).


Brush Creek SF (State Forest)
  • Location: See above link for driving directions and maps.
  • Trail map
  • Park size: 13,502 acres
  • Total trail length: 3 miles + 15 miles bridle trail
  • Bridle trails

Kincaid Fish Hatchery (State Fish Hatchery)
  • Location: Take SR 124 west off of SR 23 and the hatchery is about a mile past the town of Latham on the left.
  • Park size: 200 acres
  • Open to public M–F 8 AM – 3 PM
Lake White (State Park)
  • 2767 State Route 551, Waverly, OH 45690
  • Park size: 92 acre park + 337 acre lake
  • Dog friendly (Not on beach)
  • Fishing (check the official site to see if there are any restrictions)
  • Restrooms
  • Boating, swimming (50 ft beach)

Pike (State Forest)

  • Total trail length: 43 mile hiking, 33 mile bridle, 10 mile APV trails
