NE Ohio, Richland / Ashland County Mohican SP First Day Hike: Non-stop hike from Camp Area A through Lyons Falls, Pleasant Hill Dam, Mohican Covered Bridge, Hemlock Gorge Trail and back. Meet at Nature Center (located at the park’s Class A campground, just south of Loudonville on State Route 3 in Ashland County).

NW Ohio, Lucas County Maumee Bay New Year’s Day Hike: Naturalist-guided stroll around two-mile boardwalk through the beautiful Lake Erie marsh. Meet at the Nature Center. The boardwalk is easy walking and wheelchair/stroller accessible; please dress for the weather.

SE Ohio, Scioto County Shawnee SP First Day Hike: Hike along the 1-mile Lampblack Trail through an oak hickory forest. Meet at the lodge lobby. Light refreshments served afterwards in the cozy, cheerfully decorated, timber-framed lodge.

SW Ohio, Butler / Preble County Hueston Woods SP First Day Hike: Hike 3-mile loop trail through scenic forest near the lake while learning about native flora and fauna. Please wear appropriate footwear. Arrive at the Nature Center in your vehicle; we will drive from there to the trailhead.
